The Vancouver Tagore Society’s signature event, and the third annual festival celebrating work and life of Nobel-laureate Bengali poet and World cultural icon, Rabindranath Tagore. The Festival is organized by Vancouver Tagore Society and is generously supported by the City of Richmond.

- Presentation of poems on Tagore by World Poetry poets
- Presentation of poems by Aboriginal Writers Collective West Coast
- Presentation of Tagore’s poems and readings from his works.
- 2. Saturday September 14, 2013. 10:30AM – 4:30PM
- Inauguration by the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Malcolm Brodie.
- Presentation of Tagore’s poems, music and dance by the child artists from the community.
- Poetry by Dr. Jan Walls, World Poetry Reading Series, Renee Saklikar, Bernice Lever, Bong Ja Ahn, Anika Mahmud, Deb Mukerji, Sanzida Habib, Alan Hill and others.
- Tagore music and songs by Sabuj Mazumder, Shankhanaad Mallick, Amlan Das Gupta, Aparajita Chowdhury, Avik Dey, Avinanda Mukerji, Rafia Mahzabin, Duke Ashrafuzzaman, Monish Chakraborti and others.
- Dances by Shaily Gupta, Soumyee Gupta, Keya Ghosh, Fayeza Islam, Maisha Haque, Anuradha Mitra, Selene Bertelsen and others.
- Keynote speech by Ashok Bhargava
- Punishment, a short play based on Tagore’s story.
